I call this load "D.O.A.". As long as I can put the pattern where it needs to be. I can't get any better odds, cause it's a sure thing. Out to ranges as far as I can hit em.

No doubt about it you can't beat the performance of TSS shot!

That is a great looking pattern, good job!

I reloaded a pound of TSS #1 shot in 3" 1-1/2 oz loads for coyotes, but I have not shot any of them yet.

Check out this above link. I still can't believe how hard that pattern of TSS #4 shot hit the ground at 85 to 90 yards away.

If you ever see any Federal Heavyweight #2 shot loads for sale buy them. They also work great and maybe much cheaper than the TSS re-loads are.

Here are some ballistic numbers from my KPY Shotshell Ballistic Program. I am pretty sure that 3.70" of gel penetration will kill coyotes reliably. The KPY program says 2.50" of gel penetration is needed to kill big geese.

Nickel plated lead BB shot at 1226 fps gets 3.70" of gel penetration at 43.7 yards. 77 pellets per 1-1/2 oz load.

Federal Heavyweight #2 shot at 1226 fps gets 3.70" of gel penetration at 68.3 yards. 97 pellets per 1-1/2 oz load.

TSS Super shot #4 shot at 1226 fps gets 3.70" of gel penetration at 76.8 yards. 124 pellets per 1-1/2 oz load.

Federal Heavyweight BB shot at 1226 fps gets 3.70" of gel penetration at 113.6 yards. 62 pellets per 1-1/2 oz load.

The actual pellet counts will vary some.
